Logistics Glossary:

Distribution Structure

What Is a Distribution Structure?

The distribution structure describes the organizational form of logistics processes to bring products from the manufacturer to the end customer. Factors such as warehouse location, type of transport means, or number and size of transshipment centers play a central role. A well-planned distribution structure reduces delivery times and transportation costs.
