What Is Cross-Docking?

Cross-docking is a logistics procedure where goods are transferred directly from incoming to outgoing shipments without intermediate storage. This minimizes storage time and increases throughput. Cross-docking is particularly suitable for fast-moving items or time-critical deliveries.
