What Is a Consignment Agreement?

A consignment agreement allows the supplier to store goods at the customer’s site while retaining ownership. Billing occurs only upon withdrawal. The customer benefits from immediate availability, while the supplier bears inventory risk but remains tightly integrated into the supply chain.
