What Is Unaccompanied Combined Transport?

In unaccompanied combined transport, only the loading units (containers, swap bodies) are transferred onto rail or ship—without the towing vehicle. This reduces costs and allows better resource use, as drivers and tractors can be deployed elsewhere.
