Logistics Glossary:
Dry Ice Logistics
Dry ice logistics uses frozen carbon dioxide (CO₂) as a coolant to maintain very low temperatures—commonly required in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries. Since dry ice sublimates into gas, special packaging and handling are needed. Logistics planning must consider transport duration, insulation, and gas disposal.
